He is also the grandfather of Arielle Labonair and Hayley Marshall as well as Elena and Alexandria Gilbert. Logan Labonair was his son-in-law due to marrying Lilith and Alaric Saltzman is his former son-in-law due to marrying Isobel before she died.
Through their marriages to Elena and Alexandria, Damon Salvatore and Niklaus Mikaelson are his grandson-in-laws and Stefan Salvatore is his former grandson-in-law. He is also the great-grandfather of Hope, Jaxon, Nikolina, Lillian, Grayson, Sarah, Miranda, Jenna, Stefanie, and Nik.
