Miss Mystic Falls Pageant is a beauty pageant held annually in Mystic Falls. Typically, the daughters of the Founding Families compete against each other for the title of Miss Mystic Falls, though other members of the town have been known to enter the pageant as well. Formerly Carol Lockwood, amongst others, chose who would compete in the competition each year, following her death, students are free to enter at their will.

Throughout The Vampire Diaries[]

1864[]

In 1864, the pageant was postponed due to hunting of the vampires in Mystic Falls. Anna, a vampire, was intending on competing, but couldn't after the vampires got taken to the church and "burnt". (It is later revealed that they were instead hidden in a tomb below the church.)

Season One[]

The first pageant was on February 7, 2010. Amber Bradley, Alexandria Gilbert, Elena Gilbert, Caroline Forbes, Tina Fell, Blair Fell and one other unnamed girl were chosen by Carol Lockwood to participate. Amber was not a member of a founding family, but was chosen in spite of this. The event took place in the Founders' Hall.

Each girl was escorted with the following partner:

Alexandria Gilbert was awarded Miss Mystic Falls, and with the other participants and their escorts, stood on a float during the Founder's Day Parade.

Season Four[]

This pageant was held on November 28, 2010.

Each girl was escorted with the following partner:

  • Valerie Fell with Dylan Clark.
  • Amber Wolverton with Hector Linsey.
  • Michelle Cunningham with unknown.
  • Brianna Johnson with unknown.
  • Katherine Wilson with Eric Hanson.
  • April Young with Matt Donovan. (Originally planned to be escorted by Jeremy Gilbert.)

April Young was awarded Miss Mystic Falls.

Season Eight[]

This pageant was held on February 4, 2018.

Each girl was escorted with the following partner:

  • Violet Fell with Ryan Ashton.
  • Trudy Sulez with Garrett Tanner.
  • ... Young with unknown
  • Flora Martinez with unknown

According to Alex, Violet Fell has been chosen by the jury.

Season One[]

This pageant was held on April 17, 2029.

Each girl was escorted with the following partner:

Lillian Gilbert-Salvatore was awarded Miss Mystic Falls.

Trivia[]

  • This event occurred in the Season One episode Miss Mystic Falls.
  • Lillian Gilbert-Salvatore is the current titleholder.
  • Anna was supposed to enter in 1864, but the pageant was cancelled due to vampire hunts.
  • Another pageant was featured in the seventh episode of Season Four, titled My Brother's Keeper.
  • April Young became the new Miss Mystic Falls during the Vampire Diaries series, replacing Alexandria Gilbert.
  • This is the second event to happen twice, with the first being the Back to School Party, which took place in the first episode of Season One and the Season Three episode six, Smells Like Teen Spirit, respectively.
  • April seems to resemble Alex from the first pageant.
